Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor from the United States. Her name has been praised by the media and for her television work since the 1980s. The awards she has won include two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett born in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth in New York New York, is an acclaimed actress. Bassett as well as her sister and their mother relocated into St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. Their father split from the mother of their children. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in highschool and realized that it was acting she was looking to pursue. After graduating from Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned an undergraduate degree in African American Studies, she was able to obtain an MA (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. The year 1997 was the time she was married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama granted an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year. She was a student at the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for the 8th and 9th grade in addition to Boca Ciega High School.
